Tour Schedules – Departure Dates

We are glad you are planning dates. We can camp, but we cannot leave our camp between tours. We do need two boats besides the boat for the tour when camping, one to set up and one for breaking off the camp.  We plan the tours back to back to divide the costs of the logistics. Once we have one trip with people, we may offer promotions to make the trip more efficient.  2 alone is expensive, but when right before or after another trip with more people, we may be able to equalize the price. Do ask! We can do with 8 too, but not standard. The camping trips have 1 night in Heliconia and 2 nights on the Coiba camp. You will be back around midday in Heliconia B&B.  The trips are scheduled with good tides.

We continue to offer our Coiba Bahia Honda trips, but fewer have been scheduled as it is more popular for May to September. This package has 1 night in Heliconia and 1 night in a fisherman’s village (with air conditioning) on an island in Bahia Honda at 30 minutes from Coiba. With this tour, if weather permits, we will be back in Heliconia around 4 pm. If weather is windy, we rise early to return earlier in the afternoon.

Both tours snorkel in 5 reefs and do 2 walks. The camping trip has a mangrove tour by boat as extra. Both tours can drop you in Santa Catalina but do ask us in advance. The Bahia Honda tour can do an add on in Heliconia with a mangrove tour in Quebro, Mariato if staying a night extra.

The very long daytrip (9 hours) we only do as a special requests and mostly for birders with trails and a minimum or no snorkeling. We provide other day trips within Mariato District (we are NOT based in Santa Catalina), including Cerro Hoya National Park, Mangroves by foot or by boat, Tidal Pool Adventures, Garden short trips or Observation courses. The turtles are here until early january. We hope to entertain you for more beside the Coiba trip!

We partner with locals and try to avoid separating staff from their families on important holidays. This is why we don’t go to Coiba on Panama’s Mother’s Day (8 Dec); Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year. We do not schedule Carnival and Easter because they tend to be more crowded than we like.

Please contact us! by WhatsApp or email or form, since rules and regulations may change.
